The Australian Labradoodle was created by Walley Conron and The Australian Guide Dog Association by crossing the Labrador Retriever and the Poodle with 3 other breeds . The need arose when a visually impaired woman from Hawaii requested a hypo-allergenic guide dog. The Australian Labradoodle is now known for it's minimal to almost no shedding, wonderful disposition, intelligence and companionship. The breed is also commonly used for seizure alert dogs, agility dogs and assistance dogs for the mentally and physically challanged.
